Verify a certificate
Enter a TQC certificate number to check whether it is in the register and currently valid. No account, no charge, no questions asked.
What the result means
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Valid | The certificate is in the register and its validity period is current. It may be relied upon. |
| Expired | The certificate was issued by us but its validity period has ended. It should not be presented as current. |
| Suspended | The accreditation is in the register but is currently suspended. It may not be presented as active while suspension is in force. |
| Withdrawn | The accreditation has been withdrawn. It is no longer valid and may not be presented at all. |
| Not found | No certificate with that number exists in our register. |
If a certificate does not verify
Check the number first. Transcription errors are far more common than forgeries, and the usual culprits are the letter O read as a zero, and a missing or extra hyphen.
If it still does not resolve, one of two things is true: the document was not issued by TQC Accreditation, or it is not genuine. Either is worth knowing, and either is worth telling us about. Send us the certificate number and, if you can, a scan — the office will look into it.

A verification can be linked directly, which is what the QR code on a certificate points to:

The page verifies on load, so a recipient sees the result without typing anything.
What we record
We log the certificate number searched and the result, so that we can identify patterns of misuse. We do not require you to identify yourself in order to verify a certificate, and we do not publish who searched for what.
